Bella Rose Water Birthing Centre offers a unique and very beautiful environment for natural birthing.

Belinda Loudon is the creator of the Bella Rose centre. As a doula ( birth facilitator), and mother of four magnificent children she is passionate about natural birthing. It has been a long standing dream of hers to share her experience of childbirth with others as an opportunity of empowering woman to reclaim their natural wisdom and ability to trust their bodies.

The centre is set deeply in nature on a farm outside Nelspruit in the province of Mpumalanga.

Bella Rose offers an ideal natural home birthing alternative to both local and expat families living in neighbouring African countries like Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Swaziland. With Maputo just 2 hours drive from Bella Rose there is no need to travel to your mother country for a beautiful birth experience.

The birthing unit is a luxurious, open, light and spacious room, with large glass doors opening onto a raised deck, overlooking rolling mountains. It is built amongst magnificent indigenous trees, flowing water and natural rock outcrops with abundant and very alive bird life. This is natural birthing at its ultimate best, with peace, serenity and natural beauty contributing to a very memorable experience of labour.

Inside are all the modern luxuries which include a Jacuzzi for relaxation and pain relief, an oval 450 litre stone bath for birthing , high pressure shower, kingsize bed and fully equipped kitchenette.

Bella Rose Water birthing centre offers couples an alternate to birthing at home, along with a little bit of extra luxury… A complete contrast to the confinements of a hospital room!

All this while still being fully supported by a very experienced and professional team of Doctor and midwife .With all the necessary medical equipment such as oxygen, vacuum suction etc available on site as back up, should it be necessary. The farm is situated only 20 minutes from Nelspruit Medi Clinic in the case of an unexpected need for Caesar.

It is the policy at Bella Rose to remain very professional at all times, taking no risks, while still making it available to birth as mother nature intended.

The building is underway at the moment of a labour walk on the farm, as well as a Yoga and dance studio to encourage active and joyous movement during labour.

Other facilities such as Art therapy, massage, acupuncture and reflexology are also offered at the centre. All adding to a very memorable, empowered and beautiful birth experience.
